Malibu Lake Country Club Wedding | Maureen + Westen
There are some people in this world that simply do not have a bad bone in their body and who are so selfless that the thought of others being happy fills them with happiness. These types of people are rare in this world and I was fortunate enough to photograph two of them.
Maureen and Westen are those people. From the moment we met I new how genuine they were and when we did our engagement session together and I got to know them a little bit more, I really began to see just how selfless and wonderful they are as individuals and even more so together.
Maureen and Westen met at Kids Ministry Church in 2013. They were not friends but they knew one another enough to say hello. In June 2014 Maureen decided to go on her very first mission trip in Baja, California where Westen was also doing volunteer work. During her time there she saw what an incredible leader Westen was and without knowing it, her feelings for him were the same feelings Westen had for her.
In 2015 they went again together but this time as a couple. Westen, being the gentleman that he is, asked for her fathers permission to propose before they departed for their trip. He proposed to her on the beach in Baja where their love story had begun.
Their love for one another is rooted not only deep within their faith but within one another.
They were married on March 6th, 2016 at the Malibu Lake Country Club and I was the lucky gal who got to document their day!
Mo (as I call her) and Westen are two people I look forward to growing a friendship with and I am so blessed to have had them come into my life.
